Well what a year 2020 has been. Who would have thought the world would be where it is right now. Even though 2020 might be seen as the worst year for many, for me it’s actually been a year of learning. A lot of shit went down, hell I got cancer! But I think I’ve grown more in the last 12 months than I have in the last 5 years. It’s taught me to be more empathetic, open and honest, value time more than ever, and to fight no matter what.
Even with everything going on it’s also been my most financially rewarding year. For others it’s been terrible and so many have lost their jobs. But one of the promises of this newsletter is to share my financial wins. In 2020 I crossed $1m in revenue across all of my businesses. Not all of it is profit though, I’ve yet to work that out. It’s been an incredible year and I definitely did not expect it at the beginning of the year.
2021 is a new year and hopefully a good spur for everyone to achieve something, anything, big or small. I’ve never felt more motivated.
My goals for this year:
Grow my businesses to achieve $2m in revenue
Grow my YouTube channel to 300k subscribers
Release my Build Your Own E-Commerce guide
Expand my online classes
Acquire a warehouse/unit to run ULX from and have a dedicated YouTube space
Start another business (not sure what yet)
Invest more of my cash into stocks/shares
Add to the team (looking for a video ideas generator/writer and a product procurement person for ULX)
These are just some of the goals I have off the top of my head but I’m sure there are others.
I’d love to know what your goals for this year are. So leave a comment if you’re interested in sharing.
Create Your Own Icon Pack
After creating my own icon set, releasing it, and making over $30,000. I had a lot of requests on how to make your own. So I put together a very quick 10-min tutorial on how you can make your own. It’s super simple and is perfect for anyone who has basic knowledge of Figma.
My Top Tech & Gear of 2020
I love doing these round up videos covering my favourite tech that I’ve been using over the last year. My subscribers seem to enjoy them too.
