There’s a huge obsession with passive income. It makes sense. Who doesn’t want to make passive income. Making money without doing anything.
Unfortunately this is not a reality for most people. Not unless you already have millions.
I used to be one of those people in love with the idea of passive income. And I still am. However I’ve come to the realisation that whilst I’m young, I should be trying to create as much active income as possible.
When you’re young, you’re usually healthy, have little responsibilities and a lot more time. This is the perfect time to work on active income. Making as much money as possible.
Then as you get older, you can use that active income to make passive income. This is the right way round to do things. Most people get too hung up on trying to do the passive stuff first.
My current plan:
Build my current businesses and generate as much revenue as possible.
Invest that money in to stocks, property and other businesses ran by other people.
When I’m older, live off that passive income, when I know time will be more valuable. I’ll want to spend it with family and friends.
