I’ve now officially moved to Dubai! As I write this newsletter I’m waiting on the keys for my new villa. Excited to have a new place I can make my own. Make sure to follow me on instagram and twitter for updates.
Some thoughts, truths, and other random things:
Be reliable. Reliable people are trustworthy. When they say they’ll do something, and they do it, you know they stay true to their word.
Confidence in yourself comes from evidence. Years of work, results and consistency will give you confidence like no other. And no one can say anything because you have the evidence to back it up.
Make it your personality. If you stopped drinking, say to others “I don’t drink”. If you stopped smoking, say to others “I’m not a smoker”. Once you make those things who you are, you believe it yourself and others do too.
Do things that are scalable.
Nothing wrong with chasing money if you’re using it to give yourself freedom.
It’s not supposed to be easy. Nothing worth having comes easy.
Doing hard things regularly makes harder things easier.
You don’t need to take cold plunges or wake up at 5am to be successful.
You don’t need a morning routine.
Self discipline > everything.
Last desk setup
Because I’m now moving to Dubai, my UK desk setup will be no more. This is the latest video on that setup.
Link Lowdown
A collection of links to stuff I think are worth sharing.
Carwoola Residence — People ask me what I’m working towards. It’s having a garage and basement like the one in this video.
Spaced — Put spaces between items in the Mac menu bar.
BetterDisplay — An app that gives you a ton more options for customising screens connected to your Mac.
Blip — A fast way to send files anywhere.
What makes IMAX so expensive — This blew my mind and makes me think shooting movies in IMAX doesn’t seem worth it ha! But the experience of an IMAX movie is incredible.
Superlist — A very pretty to-do app. I want to switch to it but it lacks a Mac menubar app. So I’m sticking with TickTick for now.
Animstats — Animate stats for videos. Might give this a try for my own videos.
I couldn't agree more about reliable people! Especially what you said about how, when they say they’ll do something, and they do it, you know they stay true to their word.
You are absolutely right about being reliable and trustworthy and on drawing the line with what you believe in , but I totally disagree about not having a routine , this could be true if you are young , single and have your facial freedom as yourself , but once you are married and have kids , u NEED your routine and time alone .. this is something you will crave … mark my words .
