Whether it’s applying for a new job, securing a new client, selling a used piece of tech or even trying to decide where to go for dinner, everything is a negotiation.
Don’t settle. Too many people are happy to just settle with what’s in front of them.
Life is all about negotiating and compromising, so that both parties get to a place where they feel happy with the decision. If you’re unhappy with a decision, either you didn’t negotiate well enough or your demands were too ridiculous.
Negotiating also lets people know you’re not going to go down easily.

Creating a super fast external SSD on a budget
I shared this image on my Instagram stories and I had a lot of questions.
I’ve been looking for an affordable way to have a super compact external SSD that also delivers thunderbolt speed. Let me tell you, it’s hard to find and very expensive to do.
With the Black Friday sales I was able to pick up an external SSD thunderbolt enclosure and a 4TB NVME SSD at a pretty low price. Effectively coming in at half the cost.
And boy is it quick! Transferring files is rapid but the main reason I bought it was to edit my Final Cut Pro projects on it. I’m getting read and write speeds of nearly 3000MB/s.
Link Lowdown
A collection of links to stuff I think are worth sharing.
Grams28 — New favourite brand for high quality leather goods.
Dot — Absolutely unreal new AI tool. It’s like having your own personal assistant.
MacWhisper — An audio transcribing app.
Lazy.so — It’s like a note taking app and bookmarking tool in one. Almost like a second brain.
Optane — This month I learned of Optane drives. They’re SSDs specifically designed for lots of little files. Which can make booting an OS, opening an app, and searching for things a hell of a lot faster. Only issue is they’re hella expensive.
Ep-133 — Damn this looks awesome. I have no use for it. But I want it. They’re all already out of stock :(
Opal Tadpole — I never knew a webcam could be a stylish accessory, but they’ve knocked it out of the park with this.
Video Creator Course — Use code BFCM2023 for $50 off. Only today.
Oliur Store — Up to 20% off many products. Sale ends today. Only sale of the year.
I like the analogy of every decision being a negotiation. On a daily basis I see it in terms of how much time I'm willing to put in a piece of writing or other form of content. Then I consider the 80/20-rule and try to draw the line somewhere.
